How to integrate Alert Notification Service with Job Scheduler on SAP BTP?

Hi All,

I am trying to enable email functionality using Alert Notification service. There is an another service Job Scheduler running on SAP BTP which is being used for retrieving the data through background job from on-premise system and store in HANA cloud DB.I want to receive a notification email through Alert Notification service with job status whenever job is started or finished in Job scheduler service. I have explore various options but no luck.

Has anyone experience on this particular topic? any references?

At the moment, SAP Job Scheduling Service is not integrated with SAP Alert Notification Service. However, your use case serves as highly valuable input for us and we'll research the possibilities for such integration, so stay tuned to our release notes in future : )

Its working fine.. Alert Notifications are going out. .. can you recheck once more if you have enabled toggle on in Jobs.

Hey Om,

there are opportunities available. You can use the nodeJS plugin from SAP and write a little microservice, who is running every x minutes checking the job details.

Then you can also use the nodeJS module for the Alert Notification Service and combine both of it. Sounds like a feasible and easy job 🙂

Of course, you also can do it with CPI or other tools, using the API of the Job Scheduler service.
