Creation of G/L details

Hi Experts,

what is the differences for below one

1. creating G/L interms of Chart of Accounts

2. creating G/L interms of Company Code

3. creating G/L centrally

and which one of them we will use mostly & what is the reason.

Can anyone give me the solution with explaination?

1. creating G/L interms of Chart of Accounts

Here is more global set up for all GL accounts numbers in the chart. It is the top level description and type of account P & L or BS.

2. creating G/L interms of Company Code

Here you can vary your GL account set up by compamy code.

Control data and field status.

3. creating G/L centrally

This contains both Company code and chart set up.

I usually use the central. I rarely use the other two. It is more convenient.
