POD link from EM WEBUI

Hi EM Experts

I have a requirement where I need to save the POD link as sent by carrier in the Event Handler details for which I have used a custom Info parameter to save this link per event handler.

Next we need to launch this link from EM WEBUI, to do so I configured a new field on webui and used the drill down type - Internal/External link.

Now when I see the webui, I see this as a link in Event Handler details but if I click on it , it gives error , "Invalid Customizing: Customizing entry is not maintained in this link "

I checked few documents and realized that I need to do some setting in the 'Assign link to configured field' but totally clueless what has to be maintained here.

Please help resolve this requirement.

Hi,

if there are no patterns you know for the POD links there would no other possibility.

How man carriers do you have? If you have only a few carriers it should be possible to enter values.

You should a be at least sure then that you can trust the links you get from your carrier.

Hi,

you should define a Configured Field in customizing "Assign Internal or External Link".

As Dynamic URL for Webdynpro UI enter the name of your Info Parameter like:

<INFO_Z_LINK> where Z_LINK would be the name of your Info parameter.

This Configured Field you can the use in your UI customizing.

syst and cntr are the abbreviations for System and Control Parameter.

It is also described in SPRO:

Event Management
Event Handlers and Event Handler Data
Event Messages, Status Queries, Web Interface and EM OData Service
Web Interface
Assign Link to Configured Field

Hi Steffan

Thanks a lot to guide me how to maintain the Dynamic URL. It works.

Next it was giving an error regarding 'missing URL in whitelist' , to solve this I have maintained * in whitelist column so that it accepts any POD link created by system. Is this approach ok or you think I should do something different ?
