SAP Advantage ODBC Error - 2110 Driver not capable

Hi,

We’re consulting with a customer using SAP Advantage v10.1. When we connect to one of their databases using SAP’s ODCB connector, we receive this error:

Can someone help us troubleshoot this issue?

Problem: The SQL engine cannot complete the request.

Solution: This error indicates an internal problem in the Advantage SQL engine. In general, this error should not be returned to the application directly. If the application does receive this error, the SQL statement handle should not be used any further. Close the existing SQL statement handle and create and use a new one. Please report the error with a small sample application demonstrating the issue to Advantage Technical Support at advantage@extendsys.com.

You can get this error if you try to connect to ADS Local Server (instead of the "real" database server) via ODBC and try to perform some sort of locking.

I suggest using Advantage Data Architect ("ARC") to do database related stuff instead of some general database tool like DBeaver over ODBC.
