Hi Nimish, I assume you are trying to predict the sales per car category? If such is the case, you need to provide 5 times as many data points as they are points to forecasts. If you forecast one year ahead, then you need 5 years historical data. Having just one recent data point change the trend does not mean the whole predictive model would be affected as it's looking for past seasonal effects as well. If some of the historical values significantly differ from the busines situation of today, you might want to discard and start from the brave new world. Some of this post here https://blogs.sap.com/2020/05/26/forecasting-time-series-in-covid-19-days/might be relevant to your question. Having additional details would help in better understanding the question. Sometimes the disruption is so high that the predictive model is not necessarily the best answer....

I hope this somehow helps, remember that in predictive / data science creating the predictive model is just one piece of a bigger end to end as detailed in the end to end openSAP source https://open.sap.com/courses/ds3/ by the one & only expert Stuart Clarke.

Best regards

Antoine
