Stock transfer order - ATP check on alternative unit of measure

Gurus

in my scenario, we manage material master in PCE (base unit of measure and picking unit of measure). in material master are defined alternative units of measures representing pack where material is packed.

Creating Stock transfer order or intercompany order or sales order, we confirm quantity according to base unit of measure PCE. Client need to have for some customers the confirmed quantity in relationship to alternative unit of measure (that is to the pack) because some customers accept only integer pack.

how can i solve?

thanks in advance

Assuming that a full drum has 100kg. How could SAP know that two partially filled drums with 50 kg each are not a full drum?

The stock is only managed in base unit. Even if you display the stock in MMBE in its alternative unit "Drum" then SAP would show you also just 1 drum as the alternative quantity is just the result of a calculation based on the ratio maintained in the alternative units screen in your material master.

If you want integer units then you have to store the partials apart from the full packages (extra storage location) or need to block the partials to exclude them from the ATP.

Hi Ocram,

As per SAP standard design, the ATP check is always carried out on base unit of measure.

But for rounding off the quantity, you can use the rounding profile in the user exit EXIT_SAPLATPC_002.
Please refer Question number 10 in note 547118, which explains about this.
