Personnel Actions: backdate

Dear all,

I have an employee in my organization for whom we have executed 3 actions:

01.07.2002 Hiring

01.09.2002 Migration to new structure

01.11.2003 Organizational asignment

This employee was suuposed to get promoted way back in 01.07.2003 how ever due to some reasons Promotion action was not run at that time.

Now if we execute this action from backdate 01.07.2003 what kind of data inconsistencies will emerge. Kindly state.

MY APPROACH:

I am deleting this action 01.11.2003 Organizational asignment & then executing the abovesaid Promotion action again from thso as to avoid any overlapping of any record & then again iam running the deleted action (org assignment). hope this will not lead to any further issues.

Regards,

VC

    Vaishali,

Can you just create a new record with the start date of 01.07.2003 can you check it out what is the earliest payroll retroactive date. You can change the records only until then. If he is promoted will his pay, benefits... get changed .

    Regards
