How can I write columns with same date in one column?

Hi,

I've been working on EPM for a week and there's a problem I can't solve. I've two columns(actual and plan) for data with the same date on the report. But, I don't want to same date to occur twice. Merge column button is NOT active. How can I overcome this?

Let me show you what I want by photo.

1: Current situation

2: Situation I want.

Best regards,

Tuncay.

Thank you for visiting SAP Community to get answers to your questions. Since you're asking a question here for the first time, I recommend that you familiarize yourself with Community Q&A, as the overview provides tips for preparing questions that draw responses from our members.

For example, you can:

- outline what steps you took to find answers (and why they weren't helpful)

- share screenshots of what you've seen/done

- make sure you've applied the appropriate tags

- use a more descriptive subject line.

The more details you provide, the more likely it is that members will be able to respond. Feel free to also take our Q&A tutorial Q&A tutorial

Merge cells is not supported in EPM reports.

If you uncheck "Repeat column headers" in report options then you will have date only in first column like:

20200730
ACTUAL PLAN

No other solution.

I have had to overcome this same requirement for lots of reports. The best way to accomplish this is to use "row grouping" in excel on the row that has your date. Then in the cell above that, you can link to the column header on the report. This cell is not a part of the report, but then you can hide the actual report row with the date by collapsing the row grouping. You will want to make sure the "Keep Formulas Static that Reference Report Cells" is turned on in your sheet options, otherwise you will get "#REF" errors if you change the date and refresh the report.

You are talking about manually created column headers instead of EPM headers? It will work only for static column axis (static number of columns) - have to be mentioned.
