Analysis for Office - Citrix - Error ID-102001 when saving document

110 Views Last edit Jul 28 at 07:04 AM 4 rev

Hello,

We have got this add-in installed in a Citrix system, where users have got their local PC drives redirected to the Citrix session, so they can work with any directory or file located in their PC (open, create, save, and so on).

We have been facing an issue with Analysis for Office for the last month. When a user tries to save any document on a redirected drive, they receive this error:

"An exception occurred. Send the attached log file to your administrator.

SAP BI Add-in will be closed. If you want to save the data in the document, you must save a copy of the document because the data needed for the addin functions cannot be saved correctly. (ID-102001)"

"[6f2a-c7f6-72] Exception from HRESULT: 0x800AC472"

There is no events generated on any event log, only the error message shared here.

The problem doesn't come from any specific file that could be damaged. To reproduce the problem it is only necessary create a new EXCEL workbook with the add-in enabled and just try to save the document in any redirected drive. If the add-in is disabled or the file is save in a non redirected drive (for example a network share in the same network where Citrix servers are located) the error doesn't appear.

The problem doesn't come either from the local drives redirection process, since this is the only application that present this type of problem. These drives are available for any action, except for directly save documents created with this add-in.

Add-in version: 2.8.201.3748

Office version: Office 2013 Professional Plus SP1 15.0.4569.1506

OS version: Windows Server 2016 Standard

Has anybody experimented something similar?
