Material creation

Hello,

I have created 5 materials using mm01. i am able to see 3 of them in MARD (status - VEL) and all 5 in MARC ( status of remaining two - E, EB) . But i am unable to find them in MM02 0r MM03. it says " the material XXXXX does not exist or is not activated". message no. M3305.

Can you check what happens if you look for it in MARC ?

Would you please check if you are entering the correct material number and check the entries in table-MARC.

Hi,

While Opening Material code in MM02, you need to specify Plant code .

After entering Material Code , then in Plant code Field , Press F4, where 'X' has marked then it means Material is extended to that Plant else you need to extend it for plant .

first it asks me the material code. then when I enter the code it says "material xxxxx does not exist or not activated". it is not taking me to the next step to enter plant code.

Hi Pavan,

If you have created & saved in the database then it should be available in MARA (client level) table.

But if it is not available in the table, then check any possible of updation failure issue in ST22 or contact your basis team.

If material number/code created and saved with MM01- you should able to check in MM03 and change in MM02.

Are you checking correctly by entering plant code in MM03/MM02?
