Hi All,
I need to use the categorization in service order, but after my customizing the categorization is disabled. When I assigned the same schema to service request it worked well.
I’m using catalog category D, I tried using C too, in both cases it didn’t work.
Does someone know which can be the issue?
Best regards,
Hello Juan
according with the above help documentation Service Orders don't use the combination catalog D /C. I mean, you cannot determine the schema using parameter "Transaction type/Catalog Category" for Service Orders.
Service Orders use Subject Profile. Go to the definition of your Service Order type and select "Assignment of Business Transaction Categories" > BUS2000116 Service Order > Field "Subject Profile" will be used for determining the categorization schema.
If your service order has a Subject Profile , e.g. SERVICE and there is an active categorization schema with parameter "Subject profile " = SERVICE > you will see the categorization in the Service Orders.

Hi Silvia,
Subject profile SERVICE is already assigned but in service order fiori app categorization field are still locked(disabled). As far as I understood that we dont required categorization schema for service order.
I have also tried with this option - https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/1802443 but still not getting editable. Can you please suggest how this can be enabled.
Hello Manoj,
as I've just explained , you did a great job. Your configuration was correct and it was only missing the definition of the hierarchy itself. Now it should be possible display my categories.
Best regards
Silvia
Silvia, thanks for your explanation, but maybe I wasn't precise enough. I am using service in S4HANA under entreprise organizational structure, I do not use the PPOME org. structure.
I use only FIORI, and not the WEB UI interface tipical from past CRM on premise.
I do not understand from your anser how I can from FIORI select the application area, subject profile.
Thanks
Irene

Hi Silvia,
We have just implemented Service S4HANA 2021.
We created categorization schema, in wich we assigned for service order , appear in service order and works fine.
But in Search service order in filter for Categorization the system doesn´t work .
We created a service order
In order search:
In Table CRMS4D_SERV_H with the object ID number the system shows ok the categorization
Looking forward to receiving any comments.
Perhaps exists a SAP note for this problem.
Thanks so much
Fernando.

Hello Juan
this is the system behavior. This is the link to the help Multilevel Categorization . This is the S/4HANA documentation but CRM works exactly in the same way
Depending on the default system settings and the settings in Customizing, you can assign schemas to applications, as follows:
This form of assignment is possible for service orders.
This form of assignment is possible for service requests and knowledge articles.

Hi Silvia,
Thanks for your answer.
I assigned the transaction type in categorization schemas using: subject profile, and combination of transaction type and catalog category. But the categorization is disable. I tried to use catalog category D, and tried using C but in both cases it didn’t work.
Best regards,
