Question regarding delivery date in PO

Hello all,

please tell me if there are any recommendations for changing the delivery date in Purchase order? There are no restrictions on the future delivery date, can I choose any future date?

And main question please:
if it is changed will this ship on the chosen new delivery date instead of the next working day?

PO Delivery time calculated based on GR processing time, planned delivery time and purchasing department processing time, If you wanted you also can change in your PO manually and the same PO message will be shared to your vendor. Vendor will deliver material on or before PO delivery date!

There can be restrictions on future delivery date based on the config for the messages.

ME041 -> Delivery date more than a year in the future (default config is Warning - W)

ME594 -> Statistical delivery date more than one year in future (default config is Warning - W)

the delivery date mentioned in the PO is an information to the vendor to deliver the goods on or before the delivery date. If the shipment should not be sent earlier, then vendor needs to be instructed accordingly.
