Hi there,
I got a request from a prospect that he wants to clone S/HANA tables out to Oracle DB.
What kind of license does the prospect need to use the 3rd party ETL tool to replicate data from S/HANA to Oracle DB?
Does the ETL provider need any license from SAP to help replicate data from HANA to Oracle db?
Would be glad to talk with someone from SAP about this.
Thank you,
Vlad

Hi Vlad,
For licensing questions, best to contact SAP sales. Sounds like a couple of licenses are needed for this scenario.
Typically, without the data model and semantics, the raw data is not all that useful. You would use tools like SAP Landscape Transformation Replication Server (SLT) to replicate data meaningfully, which otherwise maybe challenging when using 3rd party tools.

Hallo Denys, thank you for the quick response.
What would be the best way to connect with your sales?
I think the solution that the prospect is looking for is a substitute for the SLT.
