Hi all,

we need to copy sales order header text to purchase order header text. If I check customizing, I'm not able to select sales order as a "source object".

Can you please give me a hint, how I can copy sales order header texts to purchase order header texts?

Thanks in advance!

I don't think this is possible via Customizing. You may want to check some of the FAQ-SAP-KBA's on MM / SD on that ...

I believe you should have a look into the use of ABAP, most likely in the form of BAdI "ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST". You can do an Implementation, then use Method "PROCESS_HEADER" to enable an update on the Header_Text of the PO (via "IM_HEADER->IF_LONGTEXTS_MM~SET_TEXT( )") ...

It would be best to talk to a SAP tech.consultant / developer on this. Or change / add Tags to this Question for the "ABAP Development" ...

You could also create a copy rule from sales order to purchase requisition and then from purchase requisition to purchase order, but at item level?

But I we need it on header level. Item level doesn't work on our side.

So you insure that a purchase order may not concern two different sales orders. So as Nic already wrote, go with a MM BAdI implementation to copy the text(s) from sales order(s) to the PO header text.

Search in the wiki, you will find many discussions and at least one wiki (this one is on PR and not PO, but easy to adapt, same interface)
