Hello,

How can we resolve this issue en SAP Fiori Launchpad when we run some app (generaly SAP Personas apps) :

Il se peut que la page Web à l'adresse https://vhcals4hcs.dummy.nodomain:44301/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui;~sysid=S4H;~loginGroup=SPACE;~mess... soit temporairement inaccessible ou qu'elle ait été déplacée de façon permanente à une autre adresse Web.

Thanks,

Djelali

Hi Joerg,

I don't know if anything has happened since my last message but it's working now. On my side I have just run this:

SE38 and run the report 'w3_publish_services'

S_WEBGUI (double click on the blue line just above and publish all services for S_WEBGUI)

GLOBAL (also publish this service)

Best regards

Djelali

Hi Djelali,

good to hear that it works now.

But if it worked on the remote desktop before you ran the WebGUI publishing report, the report actually shouldn't have any effect for making it work on your laptop.

Strange but if you find the root cause for it, please post it here for future reference.

Best, Joerg

Hi Joerg,

Thank you for your response.

Yes, we started using S/4HANA Fully-Activated Appliance and our local /etc/host have been updated as specified on the doc Getting Starded guide chapter 2.3 :

# S4H Appliance

34.255.63.141 vhcals4hci.dummy.nodomain vhcals4hci vhcals4hcs.dummy.nodomain vhcals4hcs vhcalhdbdb vhcaldhbdb.dummy.nodomain

54.216.64.45 vhcalj2eci.dummy.nodomain vhcalj2eci vhcalj2ecs.dummy.nodomain vhcalj2ecs vhcalj2edb vhcalj2edb.dummy.nodomain

Via the remote desktop of te appliance all is ok, including the "Sap Screen Personas" apps. But from your local access, "SAP Screen Personas" apps faill.

By the way, I also copy this url and tried from the remote desktop of the appliance, and it actually works.

Are there any other instructions in our local hosts?

Thank you for your feedback,

Djelali

Hi Djelali,

I assume you are using the S/4HANA Fully-Activated Appliance ?

If yes, this sounds as if the mapping of the /etc/hosts file is missing (that connects the vhcals4hcs alias with the actual IP address of your instance).

Can you map your local /etc/hosts file (see Getting Started guide chapter 2.3) ?

Another option to check could be access via the remote desktop of the appliance (Getting Started guide chapter 2.2) since the mapping is done automatically there.

I used your above URL in an SAP-internal reference system (with the hosts file mapped) and there it works.

Best,

Joerg
