One work process can use the same amount of memory as 10 others in together, so RAM/CPU is not really a suitable indicator.
One dia process per 10 users was once a rule of thumb but this depends of course on the amount of transactions the users are processing. The amount of dia processes cannot be calculated. You just set them and raise the number if needed.
Batch processes depend on the number of concurrent jobs. I dare to say that most admins do not know how much jobs are running at the same time. Especially, if there is no central jon management. So, i would configure 1 dia per 10 users but not below ten for a productive system (which wouold be a real small one). 5-7 btc and check regularly if that is enough.

Its depends on your RAM and CPU availability, you have to set.
Thanks
