How to connect SAP HANA Cloud directly and consume data from on-premise SAP S/4HANA?

Hi all,

Currently, I'm researching how to connect SAP HANA Cloud directly and consume data from on-premise SAP S/4HANA. After reading some articles and documentations, I can not found out any solution to resolve it.

Is there any service, library, tools or class that support ABAP to connect HANA Cloud?

Hello Son,

As per my knowledge, On-premise ABAP system at the moment can not be connected to SAP HANA Cloud because of the code line differences of on-premise HANA and SAP HANA Cloud product.

However you can deploy an ABAP instance from BTP, into the same sub-account where SAP HANA Cloud instance is currently running and then map with it. You can find more details on this blog post.

I know that we can connect HANA Cloud by using JDBC, Python Interface... as follows here. Is there is any the same solution, tools that support on-premise SAP connect HANA Cloud.
