I want to display the current permission and/or subsciption status of a contact in the CRM (field in CRM is available). In our case the SMC is the leading system for managing permissions and subscriptions.
Is it possible for the SMC to send a push notification to the CRM system everytime a contact permission (or subscription) is changed?
I'm aware that permission information is provided by the contact API but I explicitly would like to know if an update can be sent automatically via push to the CRM?
Hi Filip,
did you already have a look at Business Event handling? Never used it myself, but as far as I understand that should fit to your needs: https://blogs.sap.com/2019/07/05/how-to-activate-a-specific-business-event-in-sap-marketing-cloud/
Kind Regards
Tobias

Hi Tobias,
thank you a lot for the hint. That would actually work. However, the integration can be quite complex and one might need an additional license for the Enterprise Messaging Service. As far as I'm aware the business events could als be processed within the Extension Factory but this seems to require additional implementation work which would probably pay out only if you have numerous time critical business events.
We now decided to realize it the classic way via API request.
