How add Content or Section in Manage Product Master app

Hi,

A new custom view was created for the material master transaction, for which custom fields were also added in mara table.

Now using in-app extensibility, need to create new section (or at least content) in manage product master app (app id F1602). tried all the available help from this sap forum but didn't get any light on it.

Imported custom fields to app. I want to these fields in a new section or if not in new content. but not able to create one, becasue it only shows what is already available.

Please any help would be appreciable.

It is achieved using adopt UI extendability in BAS for the particluar app.

You definitely do not need an extension app.

You need to use the Adapt UI and then in earlier releases you used to click near the existing sections and should get an option to create a new group or section. However I see that in the latest releases it has been moved to right-clicking on the tab to get the option to create new sections - see the attached image

Please first check that:

• in transaction S_ATO_SETUP that adaptation has been correctly configured (green traffic light) so that all Adapt Ui capabilities are turned on, and
• check in transaction PFCG that the authorization profile for the key user role SAP_UI_FLEX_KEY_USER has been generated so you are getting the complete adapt UI functionality... I've seen customers forget to do this and then of course not everything works properly.

Hi folks ok so adding a correction… I’ve misunderstood the requirement … this is where we need to be a little careful…

You can add a new group (subsection of a tab) using Adapt UI, you can add/remove existing sections using Adapt UI, to add your own custom section (brand new tab) you need an Adaptation Project.
Essentiallly a whole new tab is a more complex extension because it can have its own behaviours and sub elements

Are you performing this UI adaptation on list page? So far looks like adding section is only available for Object page.

I am trying to add to the object page. but when click, add section or content using Adapt UI. it shows section names what is already exist.

I am trying to create a new one.

In another way, I am also tried to create an extension project in webide for this app. but my understanding is that which not is allowed for this app.

Please correct me if my understanding is wrong.
