Showing parent and some children in Analysis for Office

Dear experts,

We are migration a solution from BOC Standard to BPC Embedded (NW 7.5 on HANA).

To meet business requirements, I need to develop a report with Entities in rows. There must be parent (node) entity and some (not all) children. SAP-note 2530007 says to use exclusion in such cases. However, I got the error message “Characteristic Intercompany Partner does not support exclusion of selections”.

Do you have an idea how to solve the error? Or how to show parent and some children alternatively?
