SA CPI : New Salesforce adapter by Rojoconsultancy.com

Hi Experts,

As we know we got new Salesforce adapter by vendor Rojoconsultancy.com in our SAP CPI or API Business Hub. We can download it and import it in our CPI as a Integration adapter artifacts. We can further use it in Integration flow for connecting to Salesforce.

I have both Inbound and Outbound integrations with Salesforce, So I was wondering, should I go ahead and use this adapter or should I use SOAP adapter?

Looking forward to your suggestions.

Souvik

I am using the Rojo adapter for GET operations using Apex REST API. But the adapter sometimes ignores the selected method (GET) and complains that operation 'POST' is not allowed. My flow has 3 API calls. Second and third call had this issue. After playing with the selected method and reploying a few times, only the third call has this issue. I'm messing around trying to fix the third call now....

Testing:

When I change the method to PUT and redeploy, I get error saying PUT is not allowed. Fair enough.

When I change back to GET, I get error saying POST is not allowed? Go figure

Anyone else come across this?

Please do raise a SAP ticket, they will involve consultant from Rojo to check and fix your issues.

Hi,

I am using the adapter in a project for a few months. I like the maturity of the adapter, once you figured everything out it just works fine. However, I miss a few things that would make working with the adapter even faster. These things are

  • Automatic creation of xsd of an Object when setting up a GET Object Type operation
  • using SalesForce Chatter service within the adapter (but this is just an edge case)
  • Adding Custom Objects to standard REST Operations (currently its just possible by using SOQL) but I am not sure if one can do it another way

But in general the adapter is a nice addon to integrate SalesForce into the SAP environment using BTP

Hello Souvick,

I have started using the sales force adapter for my inbound and outbound scenarios. The adapter has a lot of options we can play with. Depending on your requirement, you can use any of the operations available. Let us know your journey too while working with this adapter.

Yes, now the Adapter is evolved very much. We have lot of features available. Which will make integration simple.

Also I got the opportunity to talk to couple of experts from RojoConsultancy team as well regarding this adapter functionality. It was a nice experience.
