SAP Business One 10 can't find server over VPN

I installed a Business One client at home (version 10 FP2011) and it can find the SLD server but then doesn't show the database server just (local). (so also not any databases offcourse)

Is it possible to override this?

My VPN is in a different subnet then the office network and offcourse the home PC is not joined to the domain. (but this shouldn't matter as it also works on the laptops which are not joined to the domain)
