Upgrade S/4HANA 1709 to S/4HANA 2020 and start to use FVB (Fashion & Vertical Business)

Hi,

We're looking at the feasibility to switch FVB on by upgrade SAP systems.

I know it sounds weird, but I'd like to know how much effort we need to put into.

A customer is running S/4HANA1709 FPS02, but they didn't use any Fashion related feature (neither FMS/AFS), since newer version of S/4HANA build-in FVB and they want to use this feature and want to upgrade to latest S/4HANA.

My questions are :

1) Are "upgrade" and "activate FVB" two different things and steps ?

2) Is it possible to activate FVB on upgraded system with existing data model ?

3) Anything we need to prepare or be aware before upgrade s/4 ?

Anyone has done this before ?
