Dear community!
The (7.1) test workbench foresees 3 options for planning & reporting levels within a test plan: Test plan level, test package leval and test case level.
We would like to pursue the last of these options. While we understand that for the test plan or the test packages the planned date is to be maintained on the attributes of the respective object, we can't figure out where to maintain the planned date for the specific test cases in our test packages.
Could you please share your experiences or confirm that this is not possible due to missing functionality (although the test plan attributes for "Planning data" pretends this could be done).
Thx & regards - Ingo
PS: I have seen this but wanted to get a reaction on my formulation of the question...
Hi Ingo.
You are right there isn't any capability to set required date for test case. But personally I do not think that this kind of a detail is needed. You have different options to properly handle those requirements. From my experience it is always about test manager and his strategy for testing. You can use test sequences to strictly say, which tests need to be done first and which later on. You can also manually open and close testers worklist if the time is right (maybe different approach for preparing test packages could be used). But at the end it is always about communication within test manager and testers.
Hope it helps.
Bye.
