SAP CONCUR SFTP TO SAC

Hi Team,

There are few customers who uses sac enterprise version and wanted to connect with concur. Unfortunately our current wont support the integration so has a option we ask them to pick the files from sftp server which has a encrypted file and to decrypt those files customer side will have their pgp key . And then they will use those decrypted files locally to load into sac or any other source . Is there way that this can be made easy or automate for customers who wants to connect sac with sftp . Please let me know some options how to handle this scenario.

Thanks,

Pranav S

Hi Pranav,

I don't see a possibility to automate from SAC perspective. Perhaps you can use building blocks available in logic apps if your running on Azure to automate the process around the files? But why don't you use the import connection in SAC to directly connect to Concur?

Kind regards,

Hi Martjin,

Thanks for your response.

You mean the file server option ?? i did that already as a POF hosting my local machine as a server with (sap analytics agent development kit) it actually worked . But my confusion part is how it will work on the concur main server for multiple customers with multiple instances and also the files in concur server are encrypted not sure if sac can digest that these are blocks i have now . Do you have any suggestions in your mind or if you have any such same examples similar to this . Please share it will be a great help.

The existing connector for concur via sac is not so impressive with tons of limitations and SFTP is the best option we have in our hands for now we already have a existing tool which can harmonize the data and schedule it to the sftp server and customers can pick this up from there to sac. Any help or suggestions would definitely help me on this .

This is just to help put our standalone customers .

Thanks,

Pranav

Hi Pranav,

If you setup a file location which is accesable by the Concur server than you are fine to place the files there. Encryption is something SAC can't handle so you should use another tool to monitor the folder(s) and decrypt incoming files automatically. Don't have any examples, sorry.

Hi Afshin,

Thank you for your response.

I did the same exact thing which you shared couple of months back it worked as expected . But i did all those setup in my local machine what i am looking now is how can i make this setup in Concur sftp server and make life easy for the customer just to enter their SFTP login details of their instance and then use the pre configured concur SFTP server with cloud agent to get their scheduled concur data into SAC models . Second thing is files in SFTP concur server are encrypted SAC doesn't accept those files without its being decrypted . This is my second problem.

Thanks,

Pranav

Hi Pranav,

I understand that the current Concur Integration for SAC is limited.

I would use SFTP to get the files from Concur onto your Cloud Connector server and the use the Import the Data into SAC more info about that here https://www.sapanalytics.cloud/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/File-Server.pdf

The tricky bit is to ensure that the schedules match between when Concur extracts the data and your load into SAC.
