How to deliver a Cloud Add-On to customers in their own Cloud environment?

Hi everybody,

I have a question about the delivery of a Cloud Add-On solution.

I think there a two ways to deliver the solution:

1. SaaS meaning host the solution in our own ABAP cloud environment. For example in a multitenant application or every customer his own instance. The customer has to subscribe to our cloud instance.
2. Deliver the add-on to the customer and the customer can install the solution on his own cloud environment without subscribing to our cloud instance. For example with a SAR file or maybe import with abapGit?

Scenario 1 is well documented and I have no questions about that.

For scenario 2 I can't find any documentation. Is this even possible or supported by tools? If for example the AAKaas creates a SAR file, can this file be imported by a customer, because there is no cloud SAINT application for all I know?
