merge functionality can be applied in the scenario of using two mandatory attributes

Hi everyone! I have a question: I would like to know if the merge functionality can be applied in the scenario of using two mandatory attributes: if the email and the mobile phone are the same, then: the merge is done.

Scenarios that should not merge and you must create a new contact:

- if the email is the same but the mobile is different, then: do not do the merge and create a new contact

- if the mail is different and the mobile is the same, then: the merge is not done and a new contact is created

¿Anyone know if it is possible to do it this way?

Please let me know

Thanks in advance.

Best regards 🙂

Carla

Hi Carla,

It is not possible to provide such conditions for merging with standard configurations , but please find following blog post regarding Custom Logic:

https://blogs.sap.com/2019/04/05/overview-for-implementing-custom-logic-in-sap-marketing-cloud/

https://help.sap.com/viewer/b88f770e4b7c4ecead5477e7a6c7b8f7/2105.500/en-US/a49e7592004b4898a7aed0c1...

During the match and merge logic we have several options to use custom logics . In your example, I guess you can try to use the Logic "Merge Interaction Contact" in Business Context: Marketing: Interaction Contact - to adapt the merge process as per your needs.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Saravana.
