More detailed error message for Service Layer Bad Request

Whenever I make a request to Service Layer, to insert a new BP or SalesOrder or patch some data and I something is wrong, all I get back is and error message: Bad Request. Is there any way to get more information on what was actually wrong? Sometime it can take me hours of debugging just to find out that an item was in inventory, or I named a field incorrectly.
