Load dropdownlist using formatted search

I have added a new field in item master. I am using formatted search for loading value in this newly added field. If I am using textbox , then I am getting first result generated from formatted search.

But I want to use dropdownlist i.e. load valid values , instead of textbox. Formatted search is not loading multiple values in the dropdownlist.

I have shown the field in rectangular box. I have configured formatted search for Demo Fld 01.

Hi,

You cannot populate a dropdown with a formatted search. A formatted search can enter a value, or it can present the user with a pop-up window with alternatives.

Unless you want the available values in the dropdown to be limited by other values on the form, you can just create a user defined table and link it to a user defined field.
