Hi expert,
I'm currently having an issue on running the application in web ide full stack with the error "[ODataMetadata] initial loading of metadata failed". (Attached with the screenshot). I also noticed that the user id is set to "default user" when i run the application via web ide. Is that one of the rootcause that it didn't prompt me to key in gateway's username and password?
Appreciate you input and solution. Thanks in advance.
Below is the background of this fiori application:
- i imported the fiori application from destination SAPUI5 ABAP repository into web ide via option "import->Application from SAPUI5 ABAP Repository" and this fiori app is working fine if i run it via Gateway's launchpad (login to Gateway and launch it via tcode /ui2/flp).
- apart from that , i also manually write the neo-app.json as attached.
- manifest.json
You are using the property "localUri" under "settings" property in your manifest.json, which basically signifies that you want to use a local mock-up data, and hence the call is not made via a gateway system because of which you don't get a prompt for username and password.
Can you try using the property "odataVersion".
PS: Let me know if I misintrepeted something !

Since you are not planning to use a mock-server or local metadata file, you can get rid of the local URI property either from the configuration or the JSON file.
Also according to the error message screenshot you posted, I see that the Odata Sevice is dumping with code 500 just before loading the metadata file, it would be better if you verify your OData Service or check error log in the backend system.
Hi Basant.
Thanks for your advise. I've make a change on the metadata.xml to point it to the right destination. Previously it directly point to gateway, somehow i notice that it should point to web dispatcher. So without changing anything except the destination in "metadata.xml", i'm now able to launch/fun the fiori app via web ide full stack.
