Hi guys,

What is a pixel in SAPUI5? I'm asking this because in the WEBIDE (when running the app in the frame that allows changing of the orientation and resolution) one has the option 800x600, etc. I have no smartphone that has such a low resolution. My laptop has 2000+ pixels so how is this interpreted by SAPUI5 in terms of "pixels".

I'd appreciate a link to the official documentation (which I couldn't find).

Kind regards, Ioan.

Hi Ioan,

Frame options acts as simulators to mimic different screen size and resolutions. We use this to test how our applications will look like on different clients.

https://help.hana.ondemand.com/webide/frameset.htm?22099e6d3f714b6786e689aea3ceb995.html

Documentation doesn't answer your question clearly. But, it has the following statement

"The frame keeps the menu bar visible, and allows you to toggle between all predefined and custom simulators."

So, When you enable frame options in your Run configurations, you laptop resolution will not come into picture rather your predefined/custom frame resolutions will take effect.

Hope this clarifies!

Thanks,
