Data Services Integration with Azure Data Lake

Did anyone implemented the BO Data services integration with ADL, and what are the prerequisites and how easy we can achieve this.

I have to load the data from different sources such sales force Oracle and flat files to ADL target. Pls share a glimpse on it.

Hi there,

I am working on the same approach right now.

We are on version DS 14.3.2.

Scenario

File location settings:

This settings work, I can access / change the containers,created on ADL.

I try to write a flat file called "bw2edp_o83.txt", which has been created (empty) on the data lake too, my ADL Admin told me.

But when I try to run the job, it breaches with "Can not open file....":

Is there anybody who can provide me the related authorizations, which must be configured on the ADL side maybe.....or is there something incorrect on the FF Location settings....

Hi Bhaktha,

Can you provide a screenshot of your ADL File Location entries (you can mask the sensitive details) as well the error log.

I have the same requirement where we need to connect SAP Data Services with ADL Gen2.

We've created the file location with the required details but the job is getting terminated with timeout error whenever we're trying to execute it. I'm suspecting that we may have given incorrect value for 'Remote path prefix'.

Can you please guide what needs to be given in this field?

If you follow this the pre requisite of using Data Services 4.2 SP14 Patch6 to associate Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, you should off with a good start.

Hi lazfreitas,

Thank you for the update, I have gone through BODS and understood that through file location option we can connect the ADL. Currently in my scenario team is using Gen2 and I have connected the ADL file location with Shared access key , container name and local directory details. Now able to load the data into azure data lake.
