when we assign a service call to a technician and release the assignment our activities are getting blocked and greyed out (Note we are using maintenance orders not service orders via proaxia connector)
It is asking for a user even if no user config is set

I dont have access to the system but this is what is causing issue I recall. In the service call configuration in Proaxia transaction: /PACG/ECM_SCTD – Service Call types definition: Overview and Detail. For your work order there is a field called Meth Usr Tclose, untick this field. This hopefully will solve your issue.
