hi
because of a system error we have some workflows that are in complete status but are corrupted
mean all the data of last step is gone so i can not open the workflow at all 😞
is there any function or other way to get the workflow to the last step where it was OK ?
(i cant change the workflow template to loop back or something like this because it occurred in too many places so preferred a FM to run over all the bad ones)
tnx all for any help
You could (1) withdraw the process from the "Search Processes' or "Open Processes" application. (2) you could use the transaction in HR Admin services in the back end to withdraw the process. Then you could resubmit/start a new one and/or correct your workflow and restart.

I'm dealing with few hundreds of this,
i was hoping for more abap function so i can fix them all without the users even noticed
and there is a lot of data the users already submit in these steps so it is not very easy to tell them to start it over
the whole thing is pretty weird. Is there is no other way to just get back to the last step where it all work just fine 😞
p.s. really thank you all for help me out here
Hello Benny !
Is that user gets dump when opening work item from inbox ?
If so, please analyze the dump and workflow log to know why the workflow instance is corrupted.

What do you mean or understand by
"all the data of last step is gone so i can not open the workflow at all :("
first part: the data in workflow step container is gone(not visible in the log)?
second part: "i can not open the workflow at all?" - where and how do you 'open' it.

it is a p&f
When the user try to open the process
He gets dump says the container is initial
The error is not workflow error
After some search i found that when the it try to save the container there was some connection error to the content server
Now when a user try to open the process he try to read all the steps and the final one is initial so he gets the dump
