Preventing initial load of fixed values in SmartFilterBar

Hello All,

Is there any annotation (or an alternative way) to prevent the initial load of the value lists of the fixed valued fields (drop-down list) in a SmartFilterBar? We would like to trigger the value list filling call once we click on the drop-down icon or focus on the field.
