How to use a WM Posting change for Movement type 862

Hi People. I would to know if is possible to configure the movement type 862 to not create TO. The both plants is in the same warehouse , than I don´t need to do a movement for storage bin, but only to change the plant of material in this bin during goods receipt (861)

Whenever you post a stock transfer e.g. from a storage to a storage location or from a plant to a plant or from a stock type to a stock type you always need a transfer order even if both sending and receiving sides are managed in the same warehouse number.

See a typical process:

1. You post a transfer from plant A to plant B in MM-IM. Both plants are assigned to the same warehouse number.
2. The MM-IM material document will create a negative quant for plant A and positive for plant B in LE-WM. The quants are created in an intermediate storage type. At the same time a posting notification is created in LE-WM.
3. Now you need to create a transfer order against the posting notification to move a stock of plant A from a physical storage bin to the intermediate storage type and clear negative quant of plant A there. The same transfer order will move the positive quant of plant B from the intermediate storage type to the physical storage bin.
4. You confirm the transfer order.

Depending on your system setting the source and destination physical bins can be the same bin or different bins. Also you can automate steps 3 and 4 and have transfer order created and confirmed in background. Nevertheless you still need the transfer order.
