IDoc_AAE based connection for two ECC by systems with same SID, but different Clients.

Hello Experts,

We have two ECC systems with same SID but different clients. We are trying to connect with both system via IDoc_AAE.We are unable to connect to one of the system and messages are failing with error, IDoc Metadata not available.

We have created two RFC destinations XI_IDOC_DEFAULT_DESTINATION_SID and XI_IDOC_DEFAULT_DESTINATION_SID_<Client2>.we are using these destinations in our rcvr channels.

Also, We tried to load Metadata manually, but it is not working?

Could you please let us know how to solve this issue.

Regards,

Abhi

Hi Abhi,

If you want the same SAP system to be connected with a different client then you need to clone the resource adapter. Please check this blog

Thanks,

Manoj

  • When to try to load metadata manually using "PreLoad" option what is the error ? check nwa logs for detailed error .
  • Is the RFC destinations defined in both the clients in Sm59 are working fine and is Unicode option is enabled in those destiantions?

Please check if this is Z-IDOC then make sure it is there in the client and the message type/basic type is released. please add a screenshot of any erro so that it will be helpful to identify the issue.
