Except thrown when trying to communicate with Job Server: XXXXXX:3500. Socket Closed

Hello,

Quite often in our SAP Data services environment, users have been reporting about the error '[Except thrown when trying to communicate with Job Server: XXXXXX:3500. Socket Closed]'.

This issue occurs all of a sudden while the system worked fine till the last day. There were no changes applied or done to the system. We did some analysis but our study did not nail down to the root cause of the issue.

As a work around we restart the node, but we are looking for a root cause and a permanent solution.

We checked the KBA# 2983633, but the recommended solution is not valid here. Does anyone has a thought or a solution on this? Please assist.

Our BODS runs on this environment:

OS: Win 2016

IPS: 4.2 SP08 Patch 05

Data Services: 4.2 SP014 Patch 06
