Custom search help problem

create a custom search help for matnr using FM so I got the search help which I required but If I am selecting the value from the list it is not taking it means ex: material number 402 selected but it is not reflecting on the input parameter.

If you don't explain anything about what is behind the "search help", it's impossible to help you.

Did you define the MATNR value as an export parameter of the search help, did you map the parameters of your search help with collective search helps which contain it?

Also how did you define your search help exit FM (Which steps did you handle, did you fill yourself the record_tab internal table parameter with selected record(s), dd you set yourself the next step to 'RETURN', etc.)

The given information is a bit vague to provide an answer. Which search help type are you using? DDIC, OVS or a Free Value Help? Does it mean that you select an entry from the list, the search help dialog closes, but the input structure is not populated with that value? Please state your question more precisely.
