SAP theme is different in 'Line Item Display' Customer & Vendor

I'm hoping someone can help me.

I use the Customer and Vendor Line Item Display screens daily and in the last few days the screen view has changed.

I have always used 'SAP Signature Theme' and the lines would look like white and blue, like so:

However now, the theme is light blue and dark blue, as below:

The only way I can get the lines to look how they used to is to switch the theme to 'Belize' however, this then makes all of the icons etc look different and it's not a theme I'm used to.

Does anyone know how to change the theme on just select screens/transactions rather than the entirety of the programme?

Thanks in advance,

Natalie

Hi Natalie,

I don't see any screenshot in your question. Can you give more details about the SAP product you are using and how do you access the transactions?

In general, URL parameter sap-theme controls the theme used by applications.

Thanks and regards,

Cris

Hi both,

That's very odd as the screenshots were there when I posted but anyway, I have re-attached them now so hopefully you can see what I mean.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Natalie,

Thanks for re-attaching the screenshots.

I have the impression that you are using SAP GUI for Windows. Could you confirm my assumption?

I couldn't find any setting that would allow you, via SAP GUI for Windows configuration, to change the colors of the lines. I tested the SAP Signature theme, and get the same colors as your 2nd screenshot.

I didn't find a reason for this discrepancy you are seeing. I wonder whether SAP Screen Personas could be in use, but it demands SAP Blue Crystal theme, and the conditional formatting is only available via web browser, not via SAP GUI for Windows.

Nevertheless, in SAP GUI for Windows, the theme is valid for all transactions. You cannot have different themes for different transactions/screens.

Thanks for the reply Cris - you're correct, I am using SAP GUI for Windows.

It just seems strange to me as in my previous company, I used to have the front screen look like the below attachment (with coloured icons etc) and I would get the screen with the blue and white lines when using transaction's FBL5N, FBL1N etc

But now in my new company I can only get the blue and white lines if my front screen looks like this without coloured icons:

It's not a huge issue, just something that bothers my OCD and what I am used to!

Hi Natalie,

You should be able to use a different theme in SAP GUI for Windows. The current theme is SAP Belize, one of the latest.

Have you tried to open the SAP Logon pad, where you have the list of system you connect, then access the "Options..." entry?

Then you can select a theme from the drop down list:

You can test with SAP Signature Theme, which is the one that should bring the look and feel you are used to.

Kind regards,

Cris
