Quote Automation questions

Hi Experts,

For quote automation is DSN will there be additional license? and if a vendor joins will there be additional cost?

May we also ask if there is a documentation for limitations?

Hey Janina,

There is no additional license to implement quote automation with DSN . You will have to create a service request to get the feature enabled in your customers environment .

The limitations are all called out in the official documentation around Quote automation, on help.sap.com. Here are some of the high level ones.

• (i.e. Discovery currently does not support service lines / service hierarchies. This can be custom built into the integration.
• Declined bids from suppliers are not sent back to ERP as standard. Currently the declined bid is also not sent back to the Buyer on Ariba.
• Quote Automation does not support collaboration between suppliers and buyers for RFQ’s.
• Quote automation does not accept a QuoteRequest containing more than 100 line items.
• Changes to ERP RFQ are not sent to Discovery if the bid is already open.
• Notifications from ERP to Discovery are not supported.
