Retained Earnings Balance CarryForward

Hello,

Is it possible that retained earnings can be carried forward in between the posting periods instead of fiscal years?

The requirement was to translate the balance sheet clearing item 317000 by periodic (instead of cumulative) translation, I used the translation key 5 in the translation sequence (step) but it is not helping.

Please Advise
