CU60E or PMEVC to Upload excel to sap variant table ?

Hello,

What are the differences between CU60E or PMEVC to Upload excel to sap variant table ?

Is one way better than the other ? I've noticed with CU60E, there are often many sap errors which can come from the excel file and can be an error with extra space (" ") inside the excel file. PMEVC with copy/paste doesn't report this kind of error seemingly and is simplier to use but isn't there the risk of having errors later if the excel file isn't 100% accurate and with errors ?

I've a question for the forum, i've tagged my post in "SAP Variant configuration and pricing", is it the most accurate place for my question ?

Hello algoproton,

I believe this is entirely a personal preference question. My preference is copy and paste with PMEVC. It is simpler/less steps. PMEVC does have error checking, for example if you have a CHAR that only has values A, B, C and you try to paste rows of data that contain D, E, F it will flag as incorrect. .
