S/4HANA Cloud to SAC Import Connection to custom queries/cds

Hi,

have some problems my import connections from S4HANA Cloud to SAC.

After some investigation i found out that it's not possible to directly import from custom queries, only OData Services. So i copied/rebuild the Cubes as external API.

But they don't show up, if i try to create a new model in SAC.

What do i miss here?

Do i have to release them to a special communication arrangement/scenario or system? Only the default APIs show up for selection.

Thanks and best regards

Tom

Hi Thomas,

Please refer to this blog that I had written few years back and not sure if something has changed since then. But, i did highlight in my blog about custom queries that it is extremely important to note that we will not be creating a separate communication system (and subsequently the Communication user) instead, we will be linking our newly created Communication Arrangement to the existing communication system and its corresponding Communication User that were created while creating the import connection for establishing the integration between SAC and S4HANA Cloud.

Please let me know if this helps by closing the thread and marking it the best answer!

Thank you!

Hi Tom,

check out this KB articles: https://userapps.support.sap.com/sap/support/knowledge/E/2590508.

The scope item 1YB is the reference for your import connection with SAC and S4HANA Cloud. SAP_COM_0087 is required as comm.arrangement for establishing the secure connection b/w the two systems. A blog for reference

All of this could articulate to the authorization issue in general as advised by owen.liu

Hope this helps!

Thank you!

Hi Amith,

already thanks for your help, i'm quite sure the scope is activated, the comm arrangement 0087 is active, there are only the before mentioned apis as services in there.

Do i have to make a new arrangement based on 0087 with my custom odata cds as services? or how do i add them?

Thank you very much for your help

Best Regards

Tom

Hi Amith,

this looks very promising, i think this is the missing piece 🙂

I've searched for something like that over and over again, but i didn't find your blogpost.

I'm going to test it later and give you the feedback

Thanks and regards!

Hi Tom,

It should be authorization issue.

Can you check whether the admin user has the option to share the bookmark?
