Weighted Average Yield

Hi there,

I'm trying to calculated weighted averages of percentages in Crystal, but groups. Each item has a balance, and a percentage. I then summed the balances per group and have them in the group footer. I now need to calculate the WAY with the following formula:

WAY= Acct Balance/Total Balance of Group*Interest Rate of the Acct.

Is there a way to get Crystal to pull this information?

Is the group part of an account or is the account part of a group? What are all of the groups in your report?

My groups are by account type (like savings, checking, etc).

I'm trying to create a formula that calculates the WAY for each account, based off the totals of the account type. So that I can then calculate the WAY of the entire account type.

Does this make sense?
