Hello Youssef,

did you activate application operations: system monitoring for the managed system (which means assignment and activation of a template was performed)?

If so: I would prefer checking the collector- and alerting settings (threshold). If you activated the whole functionality by accident, you should de-assign the problem-causing template (instance- or system level).

Kind regards

Tim

Hello,

the used dialog WP on an SAP system varies every second based on usage and the value reported by Solman are based on the data collection frequency. please check the data collection frequency.

example, if there is data collection per every minute, we get the WP usage at 01:00:00 and at 01:01:00,01:02:00 etc.

if the WP in use are 100 at 01:00:55 and goes back to 1 by 01:01:00 ( next data collection ) , the peak might not be captured at all. so, having a low data collection interval can trigger false alerts with short lived spikes.

so, example, if we keep data collection for every 5mins and take 5min average, if the spikes continue for more than 5mins, which is an issue and requires alert. so, please check those. we can keep 15mins interval which would be good in most cases, but depends on your system 🙂
