Different Division is causing a split in the invoice for Service contracts

Hi

We are trying to sell services with different divisions in a service contract. example hosting services, software maintenance, trainings etc... these have different divisions. When I enter them in a service contract and save them, they are all okay.

Problem comes during billing, the invoice splits. Reason is because of the division.

In ECC, we have in the copying control vbrk/vbrp that is 001-003 which controls the split where we put it in a ZUK table to update in the VBRK.

May I know how we can achieve this in the cloud? I checked the custom logic and fields, sadly division is not part of the component so we cannot delete the check for that one.

Best regards,

Sheila

Hi Sheila,

did I got it right that you have created one service contract with diffent division at item level? Or have you created two service contracts with diffent division?

Best, Julius

Hi Julius,

1 Service contracts where materials are of different division at item level.

Hi Sheila,

I am not aware that this is even possible. Usually, the division is defined at header level when you enter the sold-to-party.

Hi Julius,

Yes, the division is at header level for the Service Contract. but we have item division, in the material master right?

What I noticed was that they split if I put different material division in 1 service contract.

So example, this is like selling Soap, Shampoo, Detergent to 1 customer. These have different divisions, but they should be in 1 invoice only and we do not create 3 invoices for that one just because they have different division.

How does that happen in S4 Cloud? because in ECC, we have copying control vbrk/vbrp that is 001-003 which controls the split where we put it in a ZUK table to update in the VBRK.

Best Regards,

Sheila

Hi Sheila - The Division field will invoke a billing split if multiple divisions are used. In S/4HANA Cloud we do have a BAdI which offers customers the option to modify the behavior around the billing split - not all fields from the billing split criteria are included however. Because the Division field has an impact on access to the Customer master data etc - it cannot be changed.

Hi colleagues,

I've copied the answer from my colleague Gerard Magorrian from the comments

Thanks for this one Silvia.

I also had a call with the product manager and looks like they are aware of this limitation which is in cloud but not in ECC.

Thanks for the inputs.
