Dear all,
is there a comparision table available, showing the functionalities of
SAP S/4HANA FCc against
SAP S/4HANA Cloud for Advanced Financial Closing (AFC)?
We noticed that SAP S/4HANA Cloud for Advanced Financial Closing (AFC) will be the "stratetic product" for SAP.
Many thanks for any reply.
Best regards
Klaus Frick

Hi Tammy, Maximilian,
sorry for the late response. Perfect, many thanks for this, very helpful in order to choose the right one (i guess we will go for AFC)
Best regards
Klaus

Hi Klaus,
thanks for reaching out with that valid question.
As you correctly stated, AFC is the strategic solution for SAP in the closing orchestration space and therefore all innovations are only developed for AFC and not for FCc.
The following illustration gives you an overview of the most important functional differences from my perspective:
Additionally note that AFC is the only solution that can trigger Jobs in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Essentials systems.
Whereas FCc is part of the S/4HANA Core, AFC is a standalone SaaS solution based on the SAP Business Technology platform.
Best wishes,
Max

Hi Klaus - this is a good question
You can see the S/4HANA Finance Close in the demo script for S/4HANA 1909, starting on page 23/24: https://www.sap.com/documents/2019/12/2e0e7eb5-767d-0010-87a3-c30de2ffd8ff.html
Whereas the one for the cloud is here: https://assets.dm.ux.sap.com/desapusergroupsknowledgetransfer/2019/pdfs/19_11_18_advanced_financial_...
Then you can make your own comparisons. My view is the the 1909 version looks a lot like SCMA scheduling back in ECC/R/3
