Using the Administrator logon credential, we can log onto CMC to schedule 'now' a Crystal Report and save it to local file system (destination). When we attempt this using RESTful SDK, it fails with the following error message:
The only way for this to work via SDK is if we set the report format to 'Crystal Reports' within CMC. The .RPT file saves successfully. Also, if we set destination = "BI Inbox" it runs successfully without any error message, but the PDF does not render properly.
Ran and tried both URLs below.
Not sure how they differ but they both fail to produce PDF and save to local file system. Both return the same status (201 - created) but when you head back to CMC, the instance displays the failed status with the error shown in first bullet above.

Hi Lawrence,
Recently i am also facing some issue scheduling crystal reports through web service. Though your question is still unanswered, i would like to know if you have came up with some solutions. I have raised a question about this.
Help will be appreciated 🙂

Rudra
