Measuring Document creation for an Equipment

Hello All,

I searched a lot in the portal but was not able to find a similar question. That is why I am posting this question.

We have an equipment which is used as a PRT in a Routing, which is further used in Production Order.

We have already created a measuring point for this equipment. While confirming the production order a new measuring document is being created for this equipment.

But when I am using the same settings and the same process for an equipment from an equipment hierarchy it does not creates a measuring document while confirming the production order.

I have tried this with the parent equipment and the child equipment, but it does not work in both the cases for me.

Please can anybody suggest that what I doing wrong here or am I missing something.

Abhishek Ashish,

Just a thought..

In IE03, go to the status overview screen and click on the Business Processes tab, then check the items to see if "Use production resource tools" is permitted.

Is it possible for you to dismantle the equipment and retest - just to ensure that its an hierarchy issue?

Hello Peter,

Thanks for the support.

I tried to dismantle both the Equipment. Once the child and the other time the Parent, and again Installed both of them but still the problem persists. When I create the production order and confirm it, the document is not getting created automatically.

Is there a process difference between an equipment with a structure and the equipment without a structure?

Regards,

Abhi

Abhi,

Have you tried dismantling the equipment - then test them in a production order (before installing them again later ).

This will test if the same equipment PRT will work in a production order when it is not installed..

Ahh ok I missed that scenario. Ok I will test that as well.
